Patients with a valid email and the last four digits of their Social Security number on file can securely receive these documents via email. They can easily print or download the documents for their records. Links to access these documents will remain active for 30 days or until a new receipt or ledger is emailed.

Statements: Additionally, users can generate and email statements right from the patient’s accounting screen by clicking ‘Generate Statement’ from the bulk action drop-down. Here users can also preview any previously generated statements.

If your account is integrated with OpenEdge for payment processing, the patient will be able to pay their statement online regardless if you send it via the statements tab or the patient accounting tab.

Receipts: For emailing receipts, users can send individual receipts or receipt summaries. It is important to note that if the patient does not have the last 4 digits of their Social Security number on file, then they will receive a limited receipt that only includes the payment information. In order to receive a complete receipt that includes CPT codes and ICD codes, they need to have their social (last 4) on file.
